Alex Russell is more excited than ever to continue his career in storytelling. As a lighting designer, he possesses the skills needed to both ground the story and enhance the ephemeral energy of an experience. During his studies at UCF, he has had the opportunity to design the scenery for the contemporary The Clean House and the lighting for the historical, absurd Rhinoceros.

As an MFA Lighting Design Candidate at Univeristy of Maryland, he is expanding his understanding of lighting design as it applies to theatre, dance, and opera.

When he isn't working on a show, Alex can be found painting, creating zines, watering his plants, and reading poetry. He is artistically driven in all aspects of his life and is so grateful to be able to carry that artistry and creativity into his career.
